Fall Mantel....$0!!!!

I LOVE FALL...it means pumpkins, pumpkin pie yankee candle, fall decorations and cooler weather! Oh, how could I forget baking with pumpkin...pumpkin muffins, cookies, and pancakes just to name a few!

This weekend I pulled out of the attic my fall decorations. I started to do the same little routine I have done the past few fall's and then it hit me...I was inspired...BOOK LEAVES!!!! I quickly ran and found a book I had already read and began ripping out pages. Then I decided I want them to look "aged" ....I could brew some tea and use the the tea bag to complete this task but I am too impatient to wait for them to dry! Then I remembered I have an "antique" distressing ink pad! SCORE!!!!

This is my spruced up "pumpkin bowl" on out table:

And this is out mantel...the wreath, lantern, silver platters and candle are always there...I added for Fall the pumpkins (I found them last year in the dollar spot at Target), my homemade pumpkin book, and the leaves.

While hunting my ink pad I came across my silver baby cup too! Another SCORE!!!

I also figured...why not fill up the lantern with book leaves too.....

This just might be my favorite Fall mantel yet!!!

I am pretty sure Mr. Hubs will like it too since is cost a grand total of $0!!!!!
