Organization Station!

Remember how I was inspired by this post? Well, I actually organized my own HUGE HUTCH!!!

For all of my friends who think my house is spic' and span all of the time...you now get to see the disheveled hutch in our play room! This use to be my "office space" when I was working. Then it held some craft items - mine and the kids and eventually overtime it just became the "catch all" of our home....so much so we couldn't even keep the doors closed!

I decided to conquer this task while the Bear was at school one day. I thought that this would be a 1-2 hour job! I was wrong it took me FOUR AND A HALF HOURS!!!! I started by emptying the hutch, then sorting through all the junk and I literally filled a 30 gallon trash bag from this monstrosity! Then I collected all the mason jars in the house and went to work.

My craft stuff is on the top two shelves and the kids on the bottom shelve and below!

This shelf is my favorite because it is SO organized!!!!

Mr. Hubs came home and asked me if I was preggo because he thought I was "nesting"! LOL No bun in the oven here, thanks! Also, he was amazed to learn that this organizing project cost us $0!!! I am getting to be pretty darn good at "shopping the house" for things I need! Plus, I don't really care to drag all three kids to a store any time soon!

So, my question to YOU is...what do ya'll do with items like these? Where do you hang your awards, diploma's etc. I found ours buried under all the junk in our huge hutch in our playroom.

I thought that was ironic...we use to feel very put together and accomplished in life and now we are not sure of anything. It is by prayer alone we make it through the day and our kids turn out ok! HA!!! I think you get these awards and certificates to prove to your children that people really do think you are smart and can offer things in life! Or maybe it's to remind you of those things when you are in the trenches of baby poo and spit up! Who knows...but seriously does anyone have a creative idea of what I can do with them before they get lost in our attic forever?
