New Year...

I am one of the weird people that loves a new year....ok let me tell you a little about myself. I love a checklist and a goal to achieve. Yes, I am the person you hate at the end of the year because, I was the one who wrote down my "resolutions" and, yes I most likely achieved them and, yes I check each year to see if I did!

I don't know exactly what I will focus on this year but I am almost 100% positive this will be one area....The gentleness challenge! I also am pretty sure getting back into shape will be up there too. I have not "bounced back" from having my 3rd little one!

But today I am enjoying the simplicity of the day....Daddy is back at work, there are no errands to be run or family to visit, it's just our normal (boring) routine. I find it refreshing and I think the kids do too! The girls are getting along and I have a new wave of patience. I think we just like being home! I also think it is because I am 100% focused on them and not my Christmas "to do" list....it is funny how behavior is so much better when your kids have your attention and it's not divided among 20 different things! So yes, I am looking forward to spending more time on my kids this year then the distractions of life.

I am also look forward to reading through a Corrie Ten Boom devotional I found at my grandparents house. I started it on the first and have already gotten so much out of it!

I am looking forward to what this new year brings. I pray it brings me wisdom as a wife and mother, I hope it brings me closer to my Savior. Many blessings on the year ahead.
